Charmaine Wong Xia Yi

Charmaine leads the firm’s dispute resolution and advisory practice. Prior to founding Eng, Wong & Co. Advocates, she was a Partner at one of the largest law firms in Sarawak, where she gained extensive experience in high-stakes litigation and was also involved in advisory work.

Her current practice spans civil and commercial litigation, corporate advisory, and risk management. She has appeared as lead counsel before all levels of the Malaysian judiciary, including the Court of Appeal and Federal Court, and has acted in a broad range of complex disputes involving shareholder and contractual matters, debt recovery, defamation, employment, construction claims, land acquisition and reference proceedings and more. She also advises clients on compliance, structuring, and legal risks across a variety of industries.
